First Time Freezer Meals

I have never been one to freeze meals for future use, but I decided since life is getting more hectic with each day, I would try my hand at it!  Lucky for me there is Pinterest, friends with awesome cookbooks, and stand by recipes
I used to take our first run at it!

Our list of recipes made were:

I did use a different alfredo sauce for the rollups,
I doubled it, and you can find the recipe by clicking here.

Let’s begin!

Cookbooks E & J shared with me! Thank you!
Honey Pork Chops
I am thinking we will grill the pork chops!

Southwestern Casserole

This is before I cooked the casserole, I wanted you
to see it without the cheese on it.  It baked up nicely.

Twice Baked pototoes

As you can tell I took alittle different approach on
some of the pototoes.  It was the first time made twice
baked potatoes. I now have a love/hate relationship
with them. 🙂 I decided to take the potatoes and make
individual servings, since some of the skins didn’t work out.
Which gave me more inspiration for my individual serving menu! :)
Indvidual serving Farmers Breakfast Casserole

I also decided on the breakfast casserole to do the same.
I made these in my Jumbo muffin pan. It’s the perfect size.
I also got two “cake pan” foil dishes out of the recipe.

Farmers Breakfast Casserole to freeze

I had to put this in. It’s Milton’s method of removing air
from the ziploc bags! 🙂 He saw it on some Food Network show!
You close the zipper part as far as you can, put a straw in, and
suck the air out. He wouldn’t allow me to take a photo
of him actually doing the process, I have no idea why! 🙂

Lasagna

I only made an 8×8 pan of the lasagna, but the recipe
I am sharing will make a 9×13 pan.

Chicken Alfredo Rollups

I was alittle nervous about making the Chicken Alfredo Rollups, they looked like alot of work to me.  But in reality they were not, and I am excited to try this particular dish! I boiled a chicken, and used most of it.   I used an oven liner under the food, when cooled down, I pulled it out of the pan, and then put in a ziplock bag.  This way I would not need to be concerned about the food tasting metal like when we get ready to eat it.

I am glad I had two days to do all of this.
It made for a more enjoyable time in my kitchen since my
Farmer was busy elsewhere, and my little gal was sick!

You can find the recipes by clicking the names at the top.
I have inserted links for you.

Do you have a favorite recipe you like to freeze or a tip or two!?
Feel free to share!

I will try to update this post after we have tasted each one!

Thanks for stopping by!
