We have had so much rain recently the pond is very full. The current week we have not had any rain but beautiful fall like weather. The mornings and evenings are cooler but the days are enjoyable.
The farmer is on his way back from a hunting trip and upon returning will take a gander at the crops. I am sure the corn is ready to harvest but could be pretty muddy still in some fields.
It will be a busy couple of months for us with harvesting, then sowing next years wheat crop, more harvesting, and our landlord appreciation dinner. Sometimes I wish it was slower during September and October because it really is one of my favorite times of the year. But I married a farmer and it is what it is.
