I used to spend a great deal more time in the entertaining kitchen before life got busy and I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. 2019 has brought balance recently into my life so here I am. The place that used to be my therapy welcomed me back in like I’d never been gone! It felt good! 🙂
I found myself with a day off in the middle of the week which meant the kiddo was in school. The hubs was farming and I had an itch to make some yummy goodies!
Here’s a disclaimer – these are not healthy recipes. These are good for your soul, make your house smell yummy kinda goodies! My plan was to just make the banana bread but since I was feeling generous I made chocolate chip cookie bars too! My husband and daughter are normally the cookie bakers but today it was ME! They don’t care for the bread so they will be glad to see the cookies for sure!

The recipes used can be found by clicking the links below. Believe me when I say they are truly tasty! Moderation is needed when eating the results folks!
Now, I have to ask… what ways do you show your special someone you love them?

Today I decided to show the love to my farmer hubs by saving back some of the cookie dough. He loves it, normally he places it on top of a warm cookie just out of the oven. Today the cookies were baked by the time he came in for lunch. But I think he still enjoyed it!
Show some love today folks! Give a hug. Make a dessert or meal. Hold the door or send a handwritten note! Life is too short not to show the ones you love how much they mean to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
